This was a prototype project of mine after my recent retirement, decided to put my Motorola skills to practice and build a digital repeater with (2) MCS2000 ...I'm not sure if it's Part 90 acceptable, but you can use a Raspberry Pi and Pi-Star (the software that runs the hotspots) as an actual repeater controller. You don't use the MMDVM hat/RF portion, and would need two Part 90 radios that can handle digital transmissions, but then you have an actual digital repeater.The MTR2000 is an analog repeater, and has no native support for DMR or any other analog mode. (The MTR3000 _does_ support DMR in some configurations, it seems.) Using something like the MMDVM, you could build your own.
